It is that time of the year again. Besides all of our wonderful productions through out the year, Recital is the one production that involves every student of the Russian Academy of Ballet. Everyone will get a chance to be center stage on their toes performing their end of the year dance with the biggest smile and joy you've seen all year.
Russian Academy of Ballet is Celebrating 10 Year Anniversary. This is a very special year for our family.
Mr. Vadim and Mrs. Irina also celebrated their 40th year Anniversary last month. Forthose who did not already
congratulated them, please give a minute of your time and congratulate them with their long and happy united life
together.
Please read ALL of the following information. I will explain every detail, and if you have any questions, please
e-mail me anytime. We always recommend to print this e-mail and highlight all of the important points for you to
keep in mind.
1. COSTUMES: been ordered for every level, and they are yours to keep after the show. Costume deadline is already past.
If you have not yet paid the costume fee, there will be $10 late fee starting this week, for each costume.
2. REHEARSALS: The following rehearsals are mandatory. All students from both studios must attend.
- *Thursday, June 17th - 5:00 - 7:00pm at Waterford Studio - DRESS REHEARSAL ---- Beginner, Pre-Ballet, and Ballet 1
- *Friday, June 18th - 5:00 - 7:00pm at Waterford Studio - DRESS REHEARSAL ----- Ballet 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7
- *Saturday, June 19th - 2:00pm at Lake Highland --- STAGE REHEARSAL --- All students and Parents DO NOT BE LATE!!!!!
After stage rehearsal you will be able to go to your dressing rooms and get ready for the show.
* Show starts at 5:00 pm
3. RECITAL PHOTOS: As most of you know, we have the best photographer in town and his photographs are THE BEST.
You will not be required to purchase any of them till the time you see them. This year we will have even better packages then
last year. You will be able to order Christmas Cards with your beautiful ballerina on it and send it off to Grand Parents and
relatives, Canvas Print Paintings all sizes, and many more fantastic products to choose from.

There will be a sign up sheet at both studio locations. The photographer will be at the studio ready to shoot at 12:00pm.
Everyone one will tell you that you DO NOT want to be there at 5:00 pm to take the pictures, because it will be PACKED.
And you will be stuck in a very long line to take your turn. And there will be a lot of grumpy parents who will be as "happy" as
you are to stand in that line :) Please, sign up as early as you can make it and get it out of the way.
4. RECITAL DVD's: As always the memories will last for ever with this purchase. Videographer will be shooting back stage
footage of everyone getting ready for their special day and will edit that into the video. IT WILL BE GREAT!!!!
The DVD's are pre-ordered at the studio for $30. Sign up sheets will be available this week.
5. TICKETS: All tickets are general admission. Tickets will be available next week. $15 each ticket. The theater holds 776 seats,
with all of out students and parents the seats will be limited. So try buy all of the tickets in advance.
6. VOLUNTEERS: I would like to thank all of the volunteers that have been with us for all these years and helped out at every
show. This company is based on volunteers and all of the help that we all donate is to provide our kids and this community with
this experience that will be remembered for a life time. Volunteer sign up sheet will be available at the dress rehearsals on Thursday and
Friday. Please see Katerina to sign up or reply to this e-mail with which area you will like to help out. Every level will require
2 volunteers that will lead them from the dressing room to the stage, and after their dance, our little ballerinas will need to be
led up to the balcony to watch the show. Parents you will be able to pick your kids up from the balcony after the 1st Act.
Please do not get up in the middle of the show or after your child's dance to go back stage. Kids do get distracted, and will
forget their steps. ONLY two complimentary tickets will be given out to the 2 volunteer parents per class.
Also need volunteers in: Ushers, Concession stand in the lobby, Souvenirs, Flowers, and back stage.
All volunteers must arrive early and stay through out the whole show, will also receive complimentary tickets.
7. RESTRICTIONS IN THE THEATER. NO CAMERAS OF ANY KIND WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE THEATER
(no taking pictures or videos) NO FOOD AND/OR DRINKS OF ANY KIND IN THE THEATER
(only water back stage and may be some dry snack before the show)
8. FLOWERS: Flowers have always been a tradition after every performance for every dancer. Do not forget to congratulate
your little ballerinas with a great show and a bouquet of flowers. Also do not forget to thank our wonderful teachers who worked
so hard this year with your girls. Flowers will show a great appreciation and satisfaction that you are happy with the end of the
year result. To reserve your flowers ahead, there will be a sign up sheet at the studio. Flowers always sold out at the day of
the show, so it is best to pre-order or bring your own.
9. MAKE UP AND HAIR: All parents will be required to do their own make up and hair.
What you must have: Foundation (level 3 and up), Powder, Rosy/Pink blush, Blue eye shadow (levels Beginner - Ballet 2),
Green eye shadow (levels 3 and up), lots of Mascara, Black or Brown eye liner, and Rosy/Pink lipstick.Hair: Hair spray and
Mouse, hair pins, and hair net (must have). You'll be able to find everything you need at Sally's
